FAD GADGET es el nombre artístico de Frank Tovey, un músico británico nacido el 8 de septiembre de 1956 en Londres. Pionero de la música electrónica y el post-punk, Tovey fue el primer artista en firmar con Mute Records. Su música se caracteriza por el uso innovador de sintetizadores y sonidos de objetos cotidianos, así como por sus letras oscuras y satíricas que abordan temas como la industrialización, el consumismo y la deshumanización. A lo largo de su carrera, lanzó varios álbumes influyentes y realizó actuaciones en vivo conocidas por su intensidad y teatralidad. Frank Tovey falleció el 3 de abril de 2002, dejando un legado duradero en la música electrónica
