Mel & Kim

MEL & KIM fueron un dúo pop inglés formado por las hermanas Melanie y Kim Appleby. Lograron éxito entre 1986 y 1988, con cuatro singles en el top 10 del Reino Unido, entre ellos el número uno Respectable. Su estilo musical combinaba el pop con el house de Chicago, y su imagen mezclaba la moda urbana con la alta costura. En 1988, se reveló que Melanie sufría de cáncer y se retiró de la escena pública. Falleció en enero de 1990 a los 23 años. Kim continuó su carrera en solitario y tuvo dos éxitos en el top 10 con Don’t Worry y G.L.A.D
