Mikey Dread

MIKEY DREAD, cuyo nombre real era Michael George Campbell, nació el 4 de junio de 1954 en Port Antonio, Jamaica, y falleció el 15 de marzo de 2008 en Stamford, Connecticut, Estados Unidos. Fue un cantante, productor y locutor de radio jamaicano, conocido por su innovador trabajo en el género reggae y dub. Comenzó su carrera en la Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation con su programa de radio “Dread at the Controls”, que se convirtió en un éxito en toda Jamaica. Además de su carrera en solitario, colaboró con artistas como The Clash, produciendo su famoso single “Bankrobber” y participando en su álbum “Sandinista!”. Su legado perdura como uno de los más influyentes en la música reggae
