Si te gustan las canciones de new wave con un toque picante, seguro que te encantará el single de Lorna Right titulado Teenage Confession. Se trata de un tema que narra las aventuras amorosas de una adolescente rebelde que se confiesa ante un sacerdote. La canción fue lanzada en 1981 en el Reino Unido y causó mucha polémica por su letra y su video musical, que fue censurado por la televisión.

Lorna Right era una cantante estadounidense que se casó con el músico británico Adrian Lee, con quien escribió la mayoría de las canciones para el álbum The Magician. Antes de iniciar su carrera en solitario, Lorna fue miembro del grupo vocal hippie The Doodletown Pipers y lanzó un álbum con baladas soul al estilo de Captain & Tennille. Lorna cambió la W de su apellido por una R para diferenciarse de su etapa anterior en Estados Unidos.

El single Teenage Confession venía con una oferta de video gratis y una pegatina que decía “Video Offer” en la portada. La funda era troquelada y se abría por delante. Las solapas delanteras venían pegadas con una pegatina cuando eran nuevas. El video mostraba a Lorna vestida de colegiala y seduciendo a un sacerdote, entre otras escenas subidas de tono. El video solo se podía ver enviando una cinta VHS en blanco y una libra por el envío a la discográfica.
