10,000 MANIACS es una banda de rock alternativo formada en Jamestown, Nueva York, en 1981. La banda es más conocida por su versión de Patti Smith, “Because the Night”, incluida en su MTV Unplugged de 1993. La banda ha lanzado nueve álbumes de estudio, seis EPs y cinco álbumes en vivo. Su miembro más famoso es Natalie Merchant, que dejó la banda en 1993 para iniciar su carrera en solitario, mientras que los miembros restantes continuaron la banda con diferentes vocalistas
