Aurra

AURRA fue un grupo de soul estadounidense de los años 80, compuesto en su momento de mayor éxito por Curt Jones y Starleana Young. El grupo fue iniciado por Steve “The Fearless Leader” Washington, del exitoso grupo de R&B Slave, y el percusionista Thomas Lockett en 1979. Aurra tuvo éxitos en la lista de R&B de EE. UU. a partir de 1980 con su primer álbum “Aurra”. Debido a tensiones internas, la banda se dividió en 1982. Jones y Young continuaron bajo el nombre de Aurra, y tuvieron un hit #1 en R&B con “Make Up Your Mind” en 1981. En 1986, el dúo cambió su nombre de Aurra a Déjà debido a problemas legales, y tuvo un éxito con “You and Me Tonight”. El grupo se disolvió a principios de los años 90.
