BEASTIE BOYS fue una banda estadounidense de hip hop y rock formada en 1981 en Brooklyn por Michael Diamond (Mike D), Adam Horovitz (Ad-Rock) y Adam Yauch (MCA)†. Comenzaron tocando hardcore punk y luego experimentaron con otros géneros como el funk, el jazz y el rap. Fueron una de las bandas más influyentes e innovadoras del hip hop, con discos como Licensed to Ill, Paul’s Boutique, Check Your Head y Ill Communication. Se disolvieron en 2012 tras la muerte de MCA por cáncer
