Bernard Edwards

BERNARD EDWARDS (31 de octubre de 1952 - 18 de abril de 1996) fue un bajista, cantante, compositor y productor musical estadounidense, conocido por ser cofundador del grupo Chic junto a Nile Rodgers. Nacido en Greenville, Carolina del Norte, Edwards se trasladó a Nueva York, donde conoció a Rodgers y juntos formaron Chic en 1976. La banda se convirtió en un ícono de la música disco con éxitos como “Le Freak” y “Good Times”. Además de su trabajo con Chic, Edwards produjo y escribió para numerosos artistas, incluyendo Diana Ross y Sister Sledge. Falleció en Tokio en 1996 debido a una neumonía
