David Sylvian

DAVID SYLVIAN, nacido como David Alan Batt el 23 de febrero de 1958 en Beckenham, Kent, es un reconocido cantante, músico y compositor británico. Alcanzó la fama a finales de los años setenta como líder y principal compositor de la banda Japan, cuya apariencia andrógina y sonido electrónico influyeron en la escena New Romantic del Reino Unido a principios de los años ochenta. Tras la disolución de Japan, Sylvian inició una carrera en solitario con su álbum debut Brilliant Trees en 1984. Su trabajo en solitario ha sido descrito como “amplio y esotérico”, e incluye colaboraciones con artistas como Ryuichi Sakamoto, Robert Fripp, Holger Czukay y Jon Hassell
