Doc Powell

DOC POWELL es un guitarrista y compositor de jazz estadounidense, nacido y criado en Spring Valley, Nueva York. Comenzó a tocar la guitarra a los seis años y, a los quince, ya participaba en sesiones de grabación profesionales. Powell ha trabajado con artistas de renombre como Wilson Pickett, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Bob James, Grover Washington, Jr., Aretha Franklin, Quincy Jones y Teddy Pendergrass. Su álbum debut, Love Is Where It’s At (1987), recibió una nominación al Grammy por su versión de What’s Going On de Marvin Gaye. Además, ha contribuido a la música de películas como The Five Heartbeats y Down and Out in Beverly Hills
