General Public

GENERAL PUBLIC fue una banda inglesa de new wave formada en 1983 por los vocalistas Dave Wakeling y Ranking Roger tras la disolución de The Beat. La banda también incluyó a ex miembros de Dexys Midnight Runners, The Specials y The Clash. Su álbum debut, “All the Rage”, lanzado en 1984, incluyó el exitoso single “Tenderness”. Aunque la banda se disolvió en 1987, se reunieron brevemente en 1994-1995. Son recordados principalmente por sus éxitos “Tenderness” y "I’ll Take You There"
