Grover Washington, Jr.

GROVER WASHINGTON, JR. fue un influyente saxofonista estadounidense de jazz funk y soul jazz, nacido el 12 de diciembre de 1943 en Buffalo, Nueva York. Considerado uno de los pioneros del smooth jazz, su carrera despegó tras reemplazar a Hank Crawford en una sesión de grabación para Kudu Records. Su álbum “Winelight” (1980) fue un éxito comercial, incluyendo el hit “Just The Two of Us”. Washington falleció de un infarto agudo de miocardio el 17 de diciembre de 1999 en Nueva York
