Hall & Oates

HALL & OATES, el icónico dúo de soul-pop formado por Daryl Hall y John Oates, se originó en Filadelfia en 1970. Conocidos por su fusión única de jazz, soul, pop rock, y new wave, han vendido más de 80 millones de grabaciones, convirtiéndose en el dúo con más ventas de la historia. Se conocieron en 1967 durante una batalla de bandas y, tras un incidente que los llevó a refugiarse en el mismo ascensor, descubrieron afinidades musicales que los impulsaron a formar el dúo. A lo largo de su carrera, alcanzaron seis veces el número uno en el Billboard Hot 100 y obtuvieron múltiples discos de oro y platino. A pesar de su menor éxito en el Reino Unido, su impacto en la música pop es indiscutible, y su legado incluye ser nombrados entre los “100 más grandes artistas de todos los tiempos” por la revista Billboard y su inclusión en el Salón de la Fama del Rock and Roll en 2014
