Ian Matthews

IAN MATTHEWS, nacido como Ian Matthews MacDonald el 16 de junio de 1946, es un músico y cantautor inglés. Fue miembro original de la banda británica de folk rock Fairport Convention desde 1967 hasta 1969 antes de dejarla para formar su propia banda, Matthews Southern Comfort, que tuvo un número uno en el Reino Unido en 1970 con la canción “Woodstock” de Joni Mitchell. A lo largo de su carrera, que abarca más de cincuenta años, ha participado en más de 100 álbumes. Aunque ha experimentado con el soft rock, el power pop y el synth pop, siempre ha vuelto al sonido híbrido de country-folk que es su sello distintivo
