Kim Carnes

KIM CARNES, nacida el 20 de julio de 1945 en Pasadena, California, es una cantante y compositora estadounidense conocida por su distintiva voz ronca. Comenzó su carrera musical en 1967 como miembro de The New Christy Minstrels. Durante la década de 1970, lanzó varios discos, incluyendo su álbum homónimo en 1975 que contenía su primer éxito, "You’re A Part Of Me". En 1980, realizó un dúo con Kenny Rogers, “Don’t Fall in Love With a Dreamer”, que se convirtió en un gran éxito. Sin embargo, es más conocida por su canción “Bette Davis Eyes”, que fue el primer sencillo de su álbum “Mistaken Identity” de 1981. La canción pasó nueve semanas en el número uno en las listas de sencillos de EE. UU. y se convirtió en un éxito mundial.
