King Of The Slums

KING OF THE SLUMS es una banda británica de rock alternativo formada en el área de Hulme, Manchester, a mediados de los años 80. Con Charley Keigher en la voz y guitarra y Sarah Curtis en el violín eléctrico, la banda se destacó por su sonido único que combinaba rock con violín distorsionado. Debutaron con el sencillo “Spider Psychiatry” en 1986 y lanzaron varios EPs y álbumes, incluyendo el aclamado “Vicious British Boyfriend” en 1989. Aunque nunca lograron un éxito comercial masivo, su música recibió elogios de la crítica y se convirtieron en una banda de culto. Tras varios cambios de formación y una pausa en los 90, regresaron en 2009 y continuaron lanzando música hasta la muerte de Keigher en 2021
