Kirsty MacColl

KIRSTY MACCOLL fue una cantante y compositora británica conocida por su voz distintiva y sus letras ingeniosas. Nacida en 1959, MacColl comenzó su carrera en la música a finales de los años 70 y lanzó varios álbumes exitosos, incluyendo “Kite” y “Titanic Days”. Aunque es más conocida por su hit “There’s a Guy Works Down the Chip Shop Swears He’s Elvis”, también es recordada por su versión de la canción de Billy Bragg “A New England”. MacColl murió trágicamente en un accidente de buceo en México en el año 2000, pero su música sigue siendo influyente y querida por los fans de todo el mundo.
