McCarthy

McCARTHY fue una banda de indie pop británica formada en 1985 por John Williamson (bajo), Gary Baker (batería), Malcolm Eden (voz y guitarra) y Tim Gane (guitarra). Conocidos por su estilo jangle pop y sus letras de contenido político, la banda lanzó tres álbumes de estudio y varios singles antes de disolverse en 1990. A pesar de no haber alcanzado un gran éxito comercial, McCarthy es recordada por su influencia en la música alternativa y por ser la precursora de la banda Stereolab, formada por uno de sus miembros, Tim Gane
