Melody Makers

MELODY MAKERS fue una banda de reggae formada por cuatro de los hijos de Bob Marley: Ziggy, Stephen, Cedella y Sharon. Comenzaron a tocar en 1979 cuando tenían edades comprendidas entre los once y los diecisiete años. Su primer álbum, “Play the Game Right”, fue lanzado en 1985. Aunque inicialmente la banda no tuvo mucho éxito, su tercer álbum, “Conscious Party” (1988), producido por Chris Frantz y Tina Weymouth de Talking Heads, ganó un Grammy y vendió más de un millón de copias gracias a éxitos como “Tomorrow People” y "Tumbling Down". A lo largo de los años, la banda ha experimentado con diferentes géneros, incluyendo pop, rock, reggae y dancehall. En 2002, después de la publicación de su álbum “Ziggy Marley & the Melody Makers Live, Vol. 1”, la banda se disolvió y cada miembro siguió su carrera en solitario
