Nina Simone

NINA SIMONE, nacida como Eunice Kathleen Waymon el 21 de febrero de 1933 en Tryon, Carolina del Norte, fue una influyente cantante, compositora y pianista estadounidense. Conocida por su profunda voz de contralto y su estilo ecléctico que abarcaba jazz, blues, y soul, Simone se convirtió en una figura icónica tanto por su música como por su activismo en el movimiento por los derechos civiles. A lo largo de su carrera, enfrentó el racismo y luchó por la igualdad a través de su arte, dejando un legado duradero hasta su fallecimiento el 21 de abril de 2003 en Francia
