Philip Jap

PHILIP JAP es un cantante y compositor inglés activo en la década de 1980. Nacido en Camden, North London, Jap ganó notoriedad tras participar en el concurso de canto televisivo “The David Essex Showcase”, donde compitió junto a artistas como Talk Talk y Thomas Dolby. Lanzó su primer single en 1980 bajo el nombre de Philip Gayle, pero fue con su nombre artístico actual que logró dos éxitos en las listas del Reino Unido en 1982: “Save Us” y “Total Erasure”. Además de su carrera musical, Jap estableció una exitosa compañía de producción musical en Primrose Hill
