Prefab Sprout

PREFAB SPROUT es una banda de pop-rock británica formada en 1978 en Durham, Reino Unido, por los hermanos Paddy y Martin McAloon. La alineación más destacada incluyó a Wendy Smith y al baterista Neil Conti. Conocidos por su sofisticado pop y letras introspectivas, alcanzaron la fama en la década de 1980 con álbumes aclamados como Steve McQueen. A pesar de su éxito crítico, nunca lograron un gran impacto comercial. Desde finales de los noventa, la banda ha disminuido su actividad debido a problemas de salud del líder Paddy McAloon, quien ha continuado el proyecto en solitario
