Saxon

SAXON es una banda británica de heavy metal formada en 1976 en Barnsley, Reino Unido. Son considerados pioneros de la New Wave of British Heavy Metal junto a Iron Maiden y Def Leppard. A pesar de un breve período de popularidad en el Reino Unido durante los ochenta, no lograron el mismo éxito en Estados Unidos, aunque sí en Europa y Japón. Con una carrera de más de cuarenta años, han sido una influencia significativa para bandas como Metallica y Megadeth, y han vendido más de 15 millones de copias en todo el mundo hasta mediados de 2014
