SCRITTI POLITTI es una banda británica de new wave y synthpop formada en 1977 en Leeds, Inglaterra, y liderada por el cantante, letrista y guitarrista Green Gartside. La banda comenzó como un grupo de post-punk, pero pronto evolucionó hacia un sonido más melódico y electrónico. Alcanzaron el éxito comercial en los años 80 con canciones como “Wood Beez (Pray Like Aretha Franklin)”, “The Word Girl” y “Perfect Way”. Su álbum más exitoso, Cupid & Psyche 85, incluye varios de sus mayores éxitos. A lo largo de los años, la banda ha experimentado con diversos géneros musicales, manteniendo siempre un estilo sofisticado y distintivo
