Siouxsie And The Banshees

SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES, formada en Londres en 1976, fue una banda británica de rock que evolucionó para crear un sonido post-punk lleno de experimentación rítmica y sónica. Con la adición del guitarrista John McGeoch y el baterista Budgie, cambiaron su dirección musical y se convirtieron en un grupo de pop alternativo exitoso. Su tercer álbum, Kaleidoscope, alcanzó el número 5 en la lista de álbumes del Reino Unido y con Juju, se convirtieron en una influencia en la escena gótica. En 1988, lograron un avance en América del Norte con el álbum Peepshow y en 1991, lograron un éxito en los Estados Unidos con el sencillo “Kiss Them for Me”. La banda se disolvió en 1996, pero Siouxsie y Budgie continuaron como The Creatures y en 2004, Siouxsie comenzó una carrera en solitario.
