Sugar Minott

SUGAR MINOTT, cuyo nombre real era Lincoln Barrington Minott, nació el 25 de mayo de 1956 en Kingston, Jamaica, y falleció el 10 de julio de 2010. Fue un cantante y productor de reggae que comenzó su carrera en el sound system Sound of Silence Keystone y luego como miembro del grupo The African Brothers. Minott es conocido por su papel pionero en la creación del dancehall y por su habilidad para transformar ritmos existentes en nuevas canciones. Fundó su propio sello discográfico, Black Roots, y su organización Youth Promotion, ayudando a lanzar las carreras de muchos jóvenes artistas. Su sencillo más famoso, “Good Thing Going”, alcanzó el puesto número 4 en el UK Singles Chart en 1981
