Sweet Pea Atkinson

SWEET PEA ATKINSON, cuyo nombre real era Hillard Atkinson, nació el 20 de septiembre de 1945 en Oberlin, Ohio, y se trasladó a Detroit en su infancia. Trabajó en la fábrica de Chrysler y cantó con colegas en una banda local llamada Hi Energy. Conoció a Don Was a finales de los años 70 y se unió a Was (Not Was) como vocalista principal junto a Harry Bowens. En 1982, lanzó su primer álbum en solitario, Don’t Walk Away, co-producido por David y Don Was. Atkinson también formó parte de la banda The Boneshakers y colaboró con artistas como Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, Elton John, entre otros. Falleció el 5 de mayo de 2020
