The 45 King

Mark Howard James, conocido profesionalmente como THE 45 KING y también como DJ Mark the 45 King, fue un productor de hip hop y DJ estadounidense nacido el 16 de octubre de 1961 en el Bronx, Nueva York. Comenzó su carrera en la década de 1980, ganando fama con su pista de breakbeat The 900 Number en 1987. Su apodo proviene de su habilidad para crear ritmos utilizando discos de vinilo de 45 RPM. A lo largo de su carrera, trabajó con artistas como Queen Latifah, Jay-Z y Eminem, produciendo éxitos como Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem) y Stan. Falleció el 19 de octubre de 2023 a los 62 años
