The Beat

THE BEAT, también conocida como The English Beat y The British Beat, es una banda británica de ska formada en 1978 en Birmingham, Inglaterra. Se destacaron por su fusión de ska, pop, soul, reggae y punk rock, y fueron parte de la escena de ska de la segunda ola, conocida como Two-Tone. Lanzaron tres álbumes en el Reino Unido, todos los cuales llegaron a los 10 primeros en la lista de álbumes del Reino Unido. A pesar de su éxito, la banda se separó en 1983, pero una versión de la banda ha continuado de gira y grabando.
