The Clark Sisters

THE CLARK SISTERS es un grupo estadounidense de gospel formado por las hermanas Elbernita “Twinkie” Clark, Jacky Clark Chisholm, Dorinda Clark Cole, Denise y Karen Clark Sheard. Nacieron y crecieron en Detroit, y comenzaron a cantar a una edad temprana en la Iglesia de Dios en Cristo, bajo la dirección de su madre, la directora de coros Dr. Mattie Moss Clark. Son consideradas pioneras del gospel contemporáneo. Alcanzaron la fama en la década de 1980 con éxitos como “Is My Living in Vain” y "You Brought the Sunshine". A lo largo de su carrera, han ganado tres premios Grammy y son el grupo femenino de gospel con mayores ventas en la historia. En 2020, se emitió una película sobre el grupo, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel
