The Motels

THE MOTELS es una banda estadounidense de new wave formada en 1971 por la carismática vocalista Martha Davis en Berkeley, California. Originalmente conocida como The Warfield Foxes, la banda se trasladó a Los Ángeles y cambió su nombre a The Motels. Alcanzaron el éxito en los años 80 con una serie de sencillos populares y álbumes aclamados por la crítica, incluyendo éxitos como "Only the Lonely" y "Suddenly Last Summer". Con la potente voz de **Davis** y su presencia escénica, The Motels se convirtieron en una parte integral de la escena new wave y post-punk, ganando seguidores tanto en Estados Unidos como internacionalmente
