The Nits

THE NITS es un grupo de pop alternativo holandés formado en 1974 en Ámsterdam1. En 1989, el nombre de la banda “The Nits” se cambió simplemente a "Nits". Su estilo musical ha variado considerablemente a lo largo de los años, al igual que su formación, con el núcleo de Henk Hofstede (el cantante principal y letrista del grupo), Rob Kloet, baterista, y Robert Jan Stips en los teclados. Su mayor éxito en los Países Bajos fue “Nescio” (1983), un homenaje al autor holandés Jan Hendrik Frederik Grönloh. El gran éxito que llevó a la banda a la atención de una audiencia internacional fue “In the Dutch Mountains” (1987).
