The Plasmatics

THE PLASMATICS fue una banda estadounidense de punk y heavy metal fundada en Nueva York en 1977 por el artista Rod Swenson y la vocalista Wendy O. Williams. La banda se hizo famosa por sus espectáculos violentos y provocativos, en los que destruían objetos con motosierras, explosivos y fuego. Su música combinaba el punk, el metal y el shock rock, y su imagen desafiaba los tabúes y la moral de la época. La banda se disolvió en 1988, tras varios problemas legales, censura y cambios de estilo
