The Police

THE POLICE, formada en Londres en 1977, fue una banda británica de rock que se destacó por su estilo único influenciado por el punk, el pop, el reggae y el jazz. Compuesta por Sting (voz principal y bajo), Andy Summers (guitarra) y Stewart Copeland (batería y percusión), la banda alcanzó la fama mundial a finales de los años 70 y principios de los 80. Con éxitos como “Roxanne” y “Every Breath You Take”, The Police se convirtió en uno de los actos más grandes del mundo, disolviéndose en 1986 pero reuniéndose brevemente para una gira mundial en 2007-2008
