The Selecter

THE SELECTER es una banda británica de ska formada en Coventry, Inglaterra, en 1979. Se destacaron como una de las bandas principales del movimiento 2 Tone, junto a otros grupos como The Specials y Madness. La banda tenía una alineación diversa tanto en términos de raza como de género, con Pauline Black y Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson como vocalistas principales. A pesar de los cambios en su formación y periodos de inactividad, The Selecter ha sido una influencia significativa en la música ska y continúa actuando y lanzando música hasta la actualidad
