The Three Johns

THE THREE JOHNS fue una banda de post-punk e indie rock formada en 1981 en Leeds, Inglaterra. Compuesta originalmente por el guitarrista Jon Langford (cofundador de los Mekons), el vocalista John Hyatt y el bajista Phillip ‘John’ Brennan, se distinguieron por su sonido discordante y letras políticas, así como por el uso de una máquina de ritmos en lugar de un baterista. A lo largo de su carrera, mantuvieron sus trabajos diurnos y grabaron seis sesiones para el programa de John Peel en BBC Radio 1. Se separaron en 1988 tras una desastrosa gira por EE. UU., pero se reunieron brevemente en 1990 y nuevamente entre 2012 y 2017
