The Timelords

THE TIMELORDS fue un proyecto musical británico de corta duración, conocido por su sencillo número uno en el Reino Unido “Doctorin’ the Tardis”. El grupo fue formado por Bill Drummond y Jimmy Cauty, quienes más tarde formarían la banda The KLF. The Timelords se caracterizó por su enfoque irreverente y satírico de la música pop, combinando elementos de la música dance con referencias a la cultura pop y la ciencia ficción. Aunque el proyecto sólo duró un año, su influencia se puede ver en el posterior trabajo de Drummond y Cauty con The KLF, que se convirtió en uno de los grupos de música dance más influyentes de principios de los años 90.
