THIRD WORLD es una banda de reggae fusion de Jamaica formada en 1973. Conocidos por su estilo que mezcla soul, funk y disco, han sido una de las bandas de reggae más duraderas y consistentemente populares a nivel internacional. A pesar de varios cambios en su formación, Stephen “Cat” Coore y Richard Daley han sido miembros constantes. La banda comenzó con músicos que habían tocado en The Alley Cats y luego en Inner Circle, y se destacaron por ser una de las pocas bandas completamente autónomas en la escena de Kingston
