Wham!

WHAM! fue un dúo británico de pop, creado en 1981 por George Michael y Andrew Ridgeley. Se conocieron en el colegio Bushet Meeds School, en Watford, Inglaterra. Inicialmente, participaron en una banda de ska, de corta vida, llamada “The Executive”. Cuando el grupo se deshizo, los músicos formaron el dúo llamado Wham! y consiguieron un contrato con la discográfica Innervision Records. Sus canciones más conocidas son “Careless Whisper”, “I’m Your Man”, “Everything She Wants”, “Club Tropicana”, “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go”, “Last Christmas” y "Freedom". En sus cinco años de carrera, el grupo considerado uno de los éxitos comerciales de pop, vendió más de 30 millones de discos certificados en todo el mundo. Se separaron en 1986
